Tina Maristela Ocampo first broke into the international fashion scene in Singapore and Hong Kong in 1987, signing with Carries International in Singapore. She began her career in fashion modeling for labels such as Giorgio Armani, Chanel, Issey Miyake, and Yves Saint Laurent.
Alongside her husband, Tina runs four retail chains—Celestina, The Black Shop, i2i Eyewear, and Celestina. The couple’s shops attract clients from all walks of life, from the young and trendy to the more corporate women.
She launched Celestina in 2006 with a collection of minaudière evening bags, a line handcrafted by Filipino artisans practicing age-old techniques and using exotic materials that can only be found in the Philippines.
Two seasons later, Tina and her collection of intricate bags were prominently featured in Vogue, Women’s Wear Daily, Elle, and continue to be featured in such prominent publications today. Celestina has also become a red carpet regular— Drew Barrymore earned the titled of Best Dressed at the Golden Globes sporting her favorite Celestina clutch and Sandra Bullock was wearing hers when she won her Oscar for Best Actress.
Tina added jewelry and eyewear design to her repertoire in 2007, using materials unique to the Philippines, including mother of pearl, coconut, and shagreen. By the following year, she added shawls, handbags, and scarves to her line, and in 2009 introduced Celestina HOME. Celestina has since been available globally in luxury retailers like Barneys New York, Bergdorf Goodman, Moda Operandi, Lane Crawford, among many others.
Tina-Maristela Ocampo has occupied the position of Executive Vice President for over a decade. Currently, she is the group’s Creative Director, overseeing the creative side of the business, particularly product development and styling.
